Does anyone have any guesses (or knowledge) of dress code for the Galaxy 11 nite southern caribbean cruise with the following itinerary---

depart San Juan 10 pm

sea day

Aruba 7 am - 7:30 pm

Curacao 7 am - 4 pm

sea day

Grenada 7 am - 5 pm

Barbados 7 am - 5 pm

St. Lucia 7 am - 5 pm

Dominica 7 am - 5 pm

St. Kitts 7 am - 5 pm

Tortola 7 am - 2 pm

arrive San Juan 7 am

The Celebrity book states 3 formal, 3 semi formal and 5 casual.

Hi Hflors, we decided to go on the January 22, 2007 cruise. We are so excited!!! Thanks for asking too :)

Thanks also for the opinion on the dress nights. I was curious to see when others thought the last formal night might be.

I too think this is spot on! Sea days and port days are similar to what we had on the Galaxy last winter and that was pretty much how the formal night fell.

We are on the Galaxy Jan. 12th..and are very excited! My issue is my hubbie who doesn't want to take a suit and tie and dress for formal night. I agree with him..I really don't want to either. So, can we eat dinner those nights in an alternative setting and still roam around the ship dressed in non-formal wear? We always are dressed nice, DH will have nice slacks on with a shirt..we just don't want to pack formal wear. Any thoughts?

Hi Hflors, thanks for the good wishes! I'm sure I'll still have many questions before we go and I'll be sure to post when we return.

By the way, how did you know I like local art???

Didn't know. I used "local Art" as an expression for shopping on the islands. I love Cureasea (sp) I buy a new table cloth with napkins every time I go there. They are more expensive then they use to be, but still much cheeper then in the states.

Hope you have a great trip!

Hflors, I really DO love local art :) I have a watercolor from Paris, a neat little painting from St. Martin, a lovely mola from Panama, Mayan calender from Mexico, handmade hammock from Mexico, and grocery store items. I LOVE to shop at groceries!

I'm really budget minded, so I'm sure there will lots left for you :)

I too think Nancy has it right.

The days at Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia and Dominica may vary somewhat from casual to informal. On some of our longer cruises Celebrity changed some of the informal days to casual.

Joby and Lisa616 - you both have January cruises so I'm hoping one of you will let us know if this is correct.:D
