patwell Posted November 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2006 Mary...i second that recommendation. It's a lovely book. Last Christmas we gave it to our best friends who will be sailing with us on QM2 in 2 weeks, and they were thrilled with it. He's not a big reader...too busy..but he read the whole thing. Cheers, Penny...who's been asked by Bear to say good morning to Martin.

stowaway2k Posted November 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Don't overlook QUEEN MARY 2 THE BIRTH OF A LEGEND by Philip Plisson Chronicles in beautiful 300-page photo-essay format, QM2 from construction to maiden arrival in NYC.
jonmar Posted November 20, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Get the one from John Maxtone Graham. My wife and I were lucky enough to get an autogrpahed copy on a crossing we took last summer. He is so knowledgeable and his lectures were not to be missed. Great book.
