Joby Posted November 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2006 We are sailing to the Southern Caribbean in late January/early February. I have looked at historical weather averages for the islands during that time of year. The average temperatures are around 79-80 F, winds ave. 11 mph, water temp. 79 F. We live in the Midwest and for us, a 50 F day during January would feel like a summer day. Whereas a 50 F day in July would feel like a winter day. For comparison--we have cruised to the Eastern and Western Caribbean in early March and mid October and had land vacations Mexico in June/July. My question is--what is the average "real feel" temp. going to be like in the Southern Caribbean in late January? Will it feel really warm/sweaty overall (as in October) or be a bit chilly (light jacket or long sleves with shorts)?
wrp96 Posted November 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2006 If it is a Southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan, you will be warm to hot, the entire time, including at night.

Will it be hot? Yes! :D Aruba Avg High 86 degrees Avg Low 76 Avg Windspeed 16 mph San Juan Avg High 81 Avg Low
lojay Posted November 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2006 The 70 degrees is far better then the snow and cold of the Midwest especially where we live (Minnesota)

Rare geoherb Posted November 28, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2006 The only time you'll need a jacket or light sweater is when you're inside on the ship. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold for me.
