ColeandAbby Posted November 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2006 Our cruise leaves out of Port Carv. I have read where there is free shuttle, possible parking for free? Does anybody know which hotel(s) offer this and are they close to PC? Thanks!:)
Hans Solo Posted November 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2006 The Radisson has a shuttle service. http://www.radisson.com/capecanaveralfl I think you will find that most of then hotels chains near Port Canaveral have some sort of transportation arrangement. I would recommend contacting the hotel directly to find out more details.
manatee49 Posted November 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2006 The Radisson, also, has free parking in a secure (gated) lot.
suezyq50 Posted November 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2006 We like the Residence Inn. Staying there again in two weeks. They have a nice breakfast. Nice, new rooms. Free parking. Shuttle is $p pp round trip.
bpear1600 Posted November 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 28, 2006 The Radisson, also, has free parking in a secure (gated) lot. Something new? Last time we parked there cruise parking was in a grass/dirt field on the north side. Anyone staying in the hotel had access and if there was a gate to the hotel parking lot it was never down. amybear912 Posted November 29, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 29, 2006 We stay at Radisson also... free shuttle over to the pier in the morning... We take a shuttle from Orlando airport to Radisson... that shuttle costs us about what it would cost to rent a car... we just skip the hassle of returning a rental car... they also pick us up from the pier and deliver us to the airport after the cruise... Leo's Family Posted November 29, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 29, 2006 amybear912 -- We are first time cruisers on the Mariner in March 2007 and are we planning on staying at the Radisson on Cape Canaveral exactly as you did. Our "twist" is that we will be staying a few days at Disneyword at the end of the cruise as well as arriving a couple days early to tour Cape Canaveral. Would you (or anyone else that has taken this approach) mind sharing the name of the shuttle service you used and the approximate cost? Also, were you satisfied with both the airport shuttle and the Radisson shuttle? Thanks, Rich
takeatrip Posted November 29, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 29, 2006 I stayed at the Raddisson a few years ago. It was getting a little tired looking but the family suite was perfect for 3 children. We didn't leave the car there because the parking was in a field next to the main road. We are trying the new Country Inns & Suites next time. Free parking and the shuttle is nominal, between $1.50 and $3.00 per person. They also have various configurations of suites and are the closest to the port.
