elycelynne Posted January 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2007 I wondered if cruise lines with specialty restaurants accepted solo reservations, or is two the minimum requirement? If the latter is true, would the maitre'd try to pair up two solo cruisers? Has anyone had any experience with this one way or the other?

flag fan Posted January 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2007 On the QM2 solo reservations were definitely allowed. I assume that they would be in any restaurant on any ship.
wrp96 Posted January 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2007 Yes, RCCL allows solo diners to make reservations in the specialty restaurants and they don't require you to eat with anybody.
kitty9 Posted January 6, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2007 Every line I've been on, and that's been many, that has a speciality restaurant, allows singles to dine. If they didn't, it would be a lovely class action lawsuit waiting to happen.
gxchan Posted January 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2007 Solo reservations haven't been a problem for me on NCL. On my last cruise I had dinner in the specialty restaurant every night, save two. One of the two nights I didn't dine there was because I was bumped--the place was packed and they told me the day before, so it wasn't a big deal. Enjoy your cruise!
