Cosmopolitan Posted January 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2007 What time do latitude members start boarding? No set time. When the ship arrives NY, approximately 2 hours - before debarkation starts. Depends on ship arriving on time and how long debarkation process takes. When debarkation is complete, they start boarding VIP, then latitudes. We have gotten on board (VIP) as early as 11:30, sometimes later. We usually arrive at the pier around 11:00. Have a wonderful cruise:)
TDSeest Posted January 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2007 What time do latitude members start boarding? Leaving New York, get there early. If you get there around 11:00, you should be on board no later than 12:30 unless something unsual happens. After 1:00, Latitude doesn't seem to matter. It'll just take forever. Have fun. boeckli Posted January 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2007 What is the earliest that porters would accept luggage ? Also, on return from a party cruise, would debarkation be completed earlier than after 'normal' cruises (in view of no need for customs/immigration formalities) so that boarding for the cruise following could commence earlier ? silkhair1 Posted January 19, 2007 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2007 I think Lattitudes area fill up and then you get to be with the regular check-in. I am not sure though.

CPT Trips Posted January 19, 2007 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2007 I think Lattitudes area fill up and then you get to be with the regular check-in. I am not sure though. That was the case with the Spirit out of NYC on 1/2/07. We got to the pier after boarding started (we got there give or take 12:30) and were told the Latitudes area was filled. It's interesting to note that NCL docs say guest check in begins at 1 . . . It seems to me that they could have a Latitudes line during the entire boarding process to allow for later arrivals. We then proceded to stand in line for at least 1 1/2 hours. We got on board about 1/2 hour before the scheduled boat drill to find that none of the ships services were open . . . and the boat drill was delayed 1/2 hour. Good thing we smuggled on some food.
