Cruising89143 Posted July 25, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2004 You will receive your sail n sign card at check in at the pier. You have the option of putting down a credit or debit card at this time. If you elect to use cash then this would be set up once on board at the pursers desk. Depending on the number of days you will be cruising will depend on the deposit amount required by Carnival.
Rare finoky Posted July 25, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 25, 2004 You get the actual card during embarkation. You can use a credit card, debit card, cash, or travelers checks to activate it. You use the card to make all on board purchases as well as a boarding card to get back on the ship in port. The computers will keep a running total of your purchases and give you an itemized statement at the end of the cruise. If you use cash to activate and spend that amount prior to the end of the cruise they will notify you to come down and add some more to your account. At the end if you have cash left over they give you a check for that amount.
Cotton Posted July 25, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 25, 2004 now u receive your sign and sail card with u documents right? QUOTE] No. When you receive your docs, one of the cardboard pages is a Sign & Sail FORM (not your Sign & Sail CARD). You fill this out and give it to the person that requests your docs, ID, etc., before you board the ship.
jleq Posted July 25, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 25, 2004 For all intents and purposes, your S&S card works pretty much the same way as an ATM Card.
