manmtnmike Posted January 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Stayed overnight at Bahia Mar Resort pre cruise, paid $101 on priceline. I was concerned about bad reviews, but we really enjoyed our stay. Food is very pricey, but there is a reasonable deli across the marina, in front of the Days inn, that made a good sandwich at a decent price. Some who were at the Days Inn strongly warned to avoid this motel at all costs. No free transfers at all! Taxis were reasonable.
MNsnowcruiser Posted January 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2007 That is good hear- We will staying here in less than 3 weeks,(Feb 10) 1 night pre-cruise also. We got the same price as you on priceline. We don't arrive untill 6:00 p.m. the night prior, so we figured for a 15 hour stay, whether good or bad we could deal with it. Glad to hear it is decent and we will enjoy our 1 night-- is there anything nearby?? Grocery, liquor store?? Thanks
lakesider Posted January 22, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2007 Ditto on hearing the good review:) . We're staying there post cruise March 3-6. Got on Hotwire for $122. Had been booked at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper for $255 and didn't think the difference in price would be worth it. Took a chance on the Bahia Mar. In what area of the hotel did you stay? Some of the reviews made it sound like one building was worse than another. Appreciate any info. Thanks

We stayed on marina side in the side building. Well worth the difference of $. There is a deli/beer/wine convienence store 1/4 mi also called Bahia Mar "something" . Unless you seek for what's wrong, you'll be fine with the motel. Have a good trip!!!
