are water shoes needed at Paradise Beach?

We leave on Explorer of the Seas next Sunday. Do we need water shoes at Pradise Beach? In other words, is the sand very hot and does the water have sharp rocks and coral?

Thanks!

See you next week PB Tom!

Most of the sand in Cozumel is crushed coral and do not get hot. Although there are some areas of slightly rocky entry, if you go into the water right in front of the iceberg, it's clear. Once you get out a little ways, it's all smooth sand. Most people are just fine going in bare feet. If your toes are sensitive, bring your water shoes, but you probably won't use them.

Tom, I had a GREAT day at PB on Friday. Many thanks... just what I needed!
