michigan tim Posted January 25, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2007 One of the funnier things I've seen while cruising. We were tendered in to Cozumel a few weeks ago and as we drove alongside the Explorer (docked at the pier) I noticed what appeared to be thin strings hanging off the back of the ship going down to the water. I looked up and saw 3 crewman tending their handlines... What a hoot! I looked up at them and stretched my arms out like I was holding a big one, and they did the same thing back... fishin' is just fishin'!

Married on Enchantment Posted January 25, 2007 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2007 I saw a bunch of guys on a carnaval ship fishing off the lower back in Costa Maya earlier this year.
wolfcathorse Posted January 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2007 not surprised! It shows up on the DR menu as "catch of the day", or "Chef's specialty" that the waiter "recommends". No wonder they have to supplement their provisions...with people like me eating more than 1 entree, they run out before they get restocked back at home port! Y'all know I'm just kidding here.
