serene56 Posted June 19, 2009 #1326 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Thought you did not recommend the sixth or fifth decks aft on the Pride.Have been reading myself blind. Would like your opinion of Pride cabin number 6329. I thought it was a good cabin. Now I am not so sure. Thanks Connie me? We stayed on deck 6 of the Miracle--6262. I dont recommend the suites on deck 5 aft= not for the money you pay. The room you had is a true suite.== deck 5 is jsut a glorified cabin. not true size to a suite cabin- they should really charge a 9A rate for those on deck

margretha Posted June 25, 2009 #1329 Share Posted June 25, 2009 Does anyone have any information on the aft balcony 205 Deck 9 on the Maasdam? It looks a little larger than a regular BA balcony but there also seem to be stairs near it. Help, Serena56 who seems to know all. Thanks! margretha

mom23guys Posted June 26, 2009 #1331 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Just back from the Triumph. We had 8348. There was a lot of scraping of chair during the night. It didn't bother me but did keep DH awake. Our sons had 8351 and 8353 terrible rooms across from loudly squealing washers in laundry room. Some passengers forget and stand talking loudly into the wee hours of the morning. No more BL for me-Just choosing my room.

sea_u_onboard Posted June 26, 2009 #1333 Share Posted June 26, 2009 Hi, Was wondering if anyone had any information on cat 7A obstructed view balcony cabins on the Pride. Any feedback would be appreciated. Spirit Class - 7A cabins (obstructed view). These are great cabins since they are a balcony at a bargain rate. But before you book be sure you know where the taller lifeboats are located. The first three lifeboats are taller then the others - which causes more of a view problem then the others. The remaining lifeboats hang below the balcony rail and cause less problems. The cabins with the taller lifeboats are 5142 - 5167 (best to be a couple more cabins back). Cabins 5168 - 5191 and 5224 - 5245 have the shorter lifeboats. Not that any of them are really bad. After all – how bad can a balcony at a lower price be? hototrot Posted June 27, 2009 #1335 Share Posted June 27, 2009 Pizzeria is located above the cabin 8384-- you want to avoid cabins that may be under the kitchens of this area. It has been reported many times that staying on this deck UNDER the pool area you hear scrapings of chairs. SOme people hear it--some others dont. SOrry you didnt know. Next cruise please make sure your cabin is located between decks of cabin space and away frompublic areas. just another question we leave in a week got our cabin listing from ta just yesterday ocean view we are in d 603 fully obstructed [dawn princess] any views on this cabin or do i throw a wobbly our first cruise and we have worked hard for it what do others think

serene56 Posted July 2, 2009 #1341 Share Posted July 2, 2009 Hi everyone. we are sailing the valor on Sept 6th and have cabin 7377. Just curious if anyone has any insight as to is this a good cabin or location. thanks for your helpoh and yes there is 4 of us. yes it is- above and below cabin space--away from public area across the hall from another cabin- away from the white area. 4 beds. 2 beds on the floor - a convertible sofa and an upper bed that will be above the sofa. It will get dropped down from the ceiling while you are at dinner. come out of your cabin--turn right and take that elevator to the food/pools if you have the aft dining room--those same elevators will get you to the dining room. If you go to the midship dining room-- head to the other direction and take the midship elevator to the dining room. The best thing we ever took with us when we did multiple people in one cabin--an over the door shoe holder--keeps the cabin somewhat organized. Once the cabin gets cluttered it starts closing in on you.
Buddleia Posted July 2, 2009 #1342 Share Posted July 2, 2009 When I was booking a cruise on the Carnival Legend directly with a personal vacation planner at Carnival he told me up front to avoid the deck under the Lido deck when picking a cabin. He said we would hear the chairs scraping. I was really surprised he told me this. He had sailed on that ship himself. So, we stayed 2 decks below the Lido and it was quiet. camper06 Posted July 3, 2009 #1344 Share Posted July 3, 2009 We have spirit inside cabin 11103 for september sailing. Looks like it is by itself on the floor - not a cabin on either side and it is next to stairs. Anyone have experience with this room or any room next to stairs and elevators. Do you think it would be noisy in that area. we have plenty of time and there are other cabins available if i need to switch. thank you.

T8s@sea Posted July 7, 2009 #1346 Share Posted July 7, 2009 Question: Radiance of the Seas: JS 1100 Starboard side. Looks great but when I look up pictures of the balcony, can't tell if it is truly a wrap around deck. Anyone been in this room and is it a good choice for a Panama Canal cruise from San Diego to Tampa? Am I on the proper side of the boat? Love the back of the boat anyway. Is it noisy being below the windjammer outside cafe? We are sound sleepers anyway but any feedback is appreciated. Traveling with others that think we should upgrade to GS on the starboard side but the cost is way high! Let me know your thoughts! Lisa

Lisa if you are asking if the balcony wraps around the side and the back of the cabin the answer is no. There is a white hull piece that wll be to one side (I dont know if there will be a cut out window like they have on the voyager class ships) Being in this cabin you wont worry about being on the wrong side as you can see both sides. It appears the cabin is right above the Promenade (sp) area near the Impressions Bar. It can get very loud in this area after dinner as they usually set up a singer with a piano or guitar in this area and they play pretty late in the evening. If you can get something a little farther forward you can avoid the noise.
sea_u_onboard Posted July 9, 2009 #1350 Share Posted July 9, 2009 I am usually so good at checking what is around me and I broke my own golden rule on this last cruise. On the Carnival Elation (Fantasy class) cabin E64 - Club 02 is directly above. I was more concerned about the distance the cabin was from the atrium that I didn't pay attention to what was above. The first night around 10:30 the music went up and the dancing started. It went on for quite some time. I don't know if it occured every night as we stayed out late - so it didn't bother us that much - but for someone wanting to go to bed earlier you would definately have some issues.
