As a family of Princess cruisers we have jumped at a chance to take a repositioning cruise from SF to VAN. The same ship (Golden Princess) then goes to Seattle. We would like to continue to Seattle as part of the family lives there. Apparently this is frowned upon (not allowed) because of some US regulation. Anybody have a way to do this  Thanks

Sorry, it is not allowed on the same ship. The regulation that prohibits this (Passenger Services Act) is the reason the Golden even goes to Vancouver. Otherwise, it would sail directly to Seattle.

We are sailing Los Angeles to Vancouver on the Diamond Princess. Some of our fellow passengers have booked an overnight Vancouver to Seattle cruise on another cruise line. That is allowed, so if you still want to sail to Seattle, check with other cruise lines to see if they have one leaving on May 4. Or, maybe another line has a repositioning cruise arriving in Vancouver on May 4 and you could then take the cruise to Seattle on the Golden.
