Cell phone to cell phone international?

We have Sprint PCS service and their website shows they have service in Acapulco. We are meeting some cousins from Italy when we arrive in Acapulco for dinner so we need to call their cell number which is a cell phone from Italy (don't know what service, but they say they have international calling).

Has anyone used 'international to international' on a cell phone in Acapulco before? Did it work ok? Any special instructions? I am assuming it would actually be like calling from Mexico to the US then to Italy, back to Mexico and we would just dial as though we were calling their cell phone in Italy?

Call the Sprint International Roaming department. I have called a few times and they are VERY helpful!
