Which Miracle Route to Take???

We are booked for the Panama route, but rethinking it not for any particular reason except to maybe do it later in our lives. We are a little concerned maybe it will be a little subdued, no nightlife.;) (We are 48 & 50)

We are thinking of the Miracle the week before going to St. Kitts, St. Lucia, and St. Martin. Only been to St. Martin so new ports for us. Anyone out there have any thoughts?? How about any who have been to St. Kitts or St. Lucia and can give any input.

Thank you!!!!

We're in the same age range; I'm 45, DH just turned 50 and we're booked for Miracle's 3/6/08 sailing to Panama. I was also tempted by the other itinerary but really want to see the canal. We honestly frequent the casino more than the clubs so nightlife wasn't a factor for us. Hopefully someone who's been to Panama can give us some insight!

I believe the Legend just started doing the Kitts/Lucia aspect of the itinerary and the reviews are just strating to show up....you might want to look at recent Legend roll calls........

...and then they switch w/the Miracle in April(?)....

....I love this ship...did the Western in October and was home a week before I was booked to go on the Southern next October......the night life is there IF you want to see it, it's just not the in your face type of party. We closed the piano bar and had a blast....(cruise w/no kids might have helped a bit LOL)

I am in your same age range and we did a 14 night Panama Canal cruise with RCCL a couple of years ago from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale. Besides our Alaska cruise, this was the best cruise we have ever taken. The same "night life" will exist on your ship whether you are doing the Canal or in the Eastern, Southern, Western Caribbean. The only cruise I would say was different for us was the Alaska cruise. Alaska is so port intensive, most people were really tired in the evenings and didn't stay up really late!

Hope this helps!!

RJ7591 glad to see you are on our sailing!! I'll try and check on the Legend and see how it was. I have to say for me St. Lucia and St. Kitts looks tempting, but my DH so wants to see the canal!! Thanks for replying!!!

Great! I was hoping we were on the same sailing! That is if you don't change your mind! :) Have ya'll thought about excursions yet? Based on what I've read on the boards these are our plans:

Panama – Panama Canal Tour

Costa Rica – Caribbean Train, Boat & Bus Experience or Adventure Canals, Rainforest & Banana Plantation

Belize – Altun Ha Maya Site & River Wallace

Ok, I guess I should tell you up front...my daughter says I'm OCD about planning ahead :o

St. Lucia is our favorite island/as you can see in my signature we are booked on the southern itinerary.

As for the Canal we hope to do a 10 or 14 day sometime.

Whatever you choose I hope you have a great time!

Payd:)
