Taxi cost question

What does it cost to catch a taxi from Ocho Rios dock to Sandals Dunn's River?Do I tip the driver?How much?Are there taxis at the resort to take us back?Thanks

My question goes along with yours about getting a taxis. I heard that we should be very careful about choosing a taxis at this port. Is this true?

so what are the tips for choosing a safe reliable one? & if we go to a resort like Sunset Grande will they get us a safe cab for the return to the pier?

I'm not sure of the cost, but negotiate what you feel is fair before you get in the taxi. You want to look for JUTA taxi's - they have red license plates - you will be perfectly safe. And, yes, you would tip the driver just as you would here in the U.S.
