RCCL - shore excursions

we are cruising to alaska on 6/15/07 from vancouver to seward plus 5 day cruise tour. i called customer service today and was advised that the shore excursions online will be off line due to RCCL renegotiating contracts etc... was told excursions would be back online beginning 4/1/07 at the earliest especially for the alaska excursions.

Do you already have an idea of what excursions you want to take? Regardless, I'd be ready to go online on April 1st to reserve the ones I most wanted. In some cases you might do better booking independently of the cruiseline, but if it is something that is capacity controlled and likely to sell out quickly, I'd book through RCI as soon as they allow it. Good luck. Alaska and its shore excursions are a very special experience.:)
