How far from pier to The Boatyard?

Can anyone tell me how many miles it is from the pier to The Boatyard beach club. I'd like to walk it if it's just a mile or so.

I'd guess it's about a mile or a mile and a half.

 

Exit the cruise terminal at the Gatehouse and continue walking on Princess Alice Hwy past Pelican Villiage and the Immigration Department where the street turns into HWY 1.

 

Continue walking to the National Heros Square and turn right over the bridge. You are now on Bay Street. Continue walking about another 1/4 mile on Bay Street and you'll see the signs for The Boatyard.

 

A taxi shouldn't be more than a few dollars and I believe there's a shuttle that will run you there for a buck. Ask at the information counter in the terminal.
