chessbriar Posted April 3, 2007 #26 Share Posted April 3, 2007 I would rate the ships I've been on from X Summit Mercury Century Millennium Galaxy But even so, with Galaxy on the bottom of the list and the smashing reviews she gets, I would sail her any time. I've always had great cruises and the staff is phenominal. It's not saying something bad about X, but rather something good about X as a cruise line. If you decide you don't want to go, I'll be happy to take your cabin. I wouldn't want you to cancel a perfectly good cabin. We've tried to book Connie 3 times and had to cancel 3x. First time was because we had a daughter and she was only 2 months old. Too you. So we rebooked for fall. She was 10 months, still to young for us to take and I couldn't handle being away for 12 days. Rebooked for April 2007, what's that X canceled my cruise to take her to Europe early to add diesels. Instead of rebooking for March like most of the people on the roll call, we jumped to the Galaxy in February and had another great cruise. Galaxy has always had the best itineraries. I know if we ever do Europe is Galaxy's route Past Galaxy cruises 2001: San Juan, St Croix, Antigua, Barbados, St Lucia, St Thomas, San Juan 2002: Baltimore, Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, Coco Cay, Baltimore 2004/5 New Years :Galveston, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, Galveston 2007: San Juan, Tortola, St Maarten, St Lucia, Grenada, Barbados, Curacao, Aruba, San Juan
Rare Lois R Posted April 3, 2007 Author #27 Share Posted April 3, 2007 Hi, thanks for your thoughts. I know you are quite knowledgable about it all:) Its funny, I have only been cruising for 4 years now and I love all their ships too. For the first 2 years my favorite was Century. I was almost afraid to try an M-Class ship~the ONLY reason being I thought it would be too large. Now I have sailed 3 M-class ships, 2 C-Class and Zenith. I love them all for one reason or another. I will be on Century for a short cruise in December. It will be the first time since her overhaul I will step back on.....I bet it will really be quite different from memories...hopefully just as good but different too. By the way, would you mind emailing me? lo1958@hotmail.com Chuck, after this recent cruise I think Mercury has taken a spot in my heart where Century originally stood. emcee207 Posted April 4, 2007 #31 Share Posted April 4, 2007 I don't think I'd have too many of those. If Margo had one she'd be jumping overboard like all those others recently. The big 50, eh???? I did it 3 years ago, a little tramautic but oh well, have another hypnotic!!! Enjoy yourself!
