Ronnie&Stacy Posted April 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2007 We are driving to the Port of Miami for our cruise that is leaving this Sunday. I looked on Carnival.com and it says that the Port of Miami charges $15 per day to park. We would need 7 days of parking. This rate is fine for us with our little Ford Escape. However, a bunch of our friends are also driving down in a Ford Expedition. The website says "oversided" vehicles are $30 per day. Would the Expedition be considered an "oversized" vehicle? If it is the case of $30 per day, does anyone know of a parking facility close by the port that would charge any less than that? Thanks!!
Bequia Posted April 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Campers, motorhomes, vehicles with trailers are what they are referring to. Your Expedition is a typical SUV that will fit in a typical port parking spot. You can call the port administration offices to verify at (305) 371-7678. kr8z Posted April 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2007 We also are driving the Expedition to leave Sunday. I offered to drive my Explorer, but DH aparently feels I overpack and the VERY large vehicle is necessary. We were going to park at the port, but I found this place on one of the board here http://www.longtermparking.com/COUPONS/cpcbmmia.htm It is only $45 for the week for covered parking, $36 otherwise. This will buy me several more adult beverages on Victory next week!
