AmbroseT Posted April 20, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2007 My husband and I are booked on the Regatta May 7. I realize this is late request but we're looking for someone to share a ride into Rome on May 17. We were thinking of taking a taxi but understand it would be more economical sharing a ride with others.
Tallassie Posted April 20, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 20, 2007 My sister and I will be on that cruise and had planned to take the train in, but if the price is not exorbitant, we would consider sharing a taxi.
AmbroseT Posted April 20, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted April 20, 2007 Thank you for the response. Based on various postings, I have inquired on pricing from Rome Cabs. They quote 150 euros for 4 people. That would convert to about $210 or $52 per person. Would that work for you and your sister? I certainly understand that expense is a factor but we're looking for convenience since we only have one day to see Rome.
Tallassie Posted April 25, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 25, 2007 I think we'll just do the train. We have two full days in Rome and our hotel isn't far from the train station. At 7-10 euro per person and very fast transport, we'll save the extra money for some other splurge:) Good luck finding others to share your taxi.
