Back To Back, How does it Work?

Recommended Posts

I am planning on maybe doing a B2B but never have before.

Could you please tell me what I should expect when it comes to disembarking?

I will have the same cabin and was wondering if I can and is it safe to leave clothes, acces, etc. in the cabin when we disembark ?

Do I go throughcustoms/immigration in Vancouver and get back on the ship?

Is it a lengthy process in Vancouver when I'm getting right back on the ship?

Thanks, CJ :) :)

This is what I've been told by RCI, so I don't know how accurate it really is as we haven't done our B2B2B yet.

You can leave all stuff in your room. You will have to get off the ship, you will then be escorted ahead of everyone to get your new seapass issued. As far as customs, I don't know. They were pretty vague on details, and for the life of me I can't rememeber what others on here have said.

You are going to need someone who has done this in VANCOUVER specifically, because the procedure is different in different ports.

As to the cabin question.........

Since you are in the same cabin, no sweat. Just act like it's between any *other* two days of your cruise. Let your cabin steward know that you are staying on. We told ours to just ignore our cabin for as long as she wanted on turnaround day - she'd have plenty to do with her other cabins - she could get to ours whenever she felt like it.

You can leave your stuff in the cabin. Your cabin stewart will know your staying onboard. We saw our's on the last night of 1st week and we told her to take the next day off and not clean our cabin on turn around day. She left us extra towels for next day. She was so grateful to have one less cabin to clean. She told us to leave our donot disturb card in the door so one would go in. There were no problems at all.

On the last night of the first week we were given new seapass cards. You will get instructions in your cabin as to when, where and what to do on turn around day. All ships/ports can be different. We had to go to immigration with our passports, they asked a few questions and we were back onboard in less than 10 mins.

HAPPY CRUISING :)
