mom2girls Posted April 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2007 OK, I know I should post this on the ports board, but I figured I would get more responses here. Anyway, has anyone every used Native Way while in Grand Cayman on the Freedom of the Seas. I am going on the Liberty soon, but they won't have us back until 2:45. The ship is leaving port at 4:00, but I believe that is eastern time so the tour would be returning at 3:45 which is 15 minutes before the ship leaves. I guess my question is does the ship time change to port time or does it stay on Miami time? I really want to go with Native Way but I don't want to miss the ship. Thanks! cb at sea Posted April 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 28, 2007 If these are reputable tour guides, they won't let you miss the ship! This is their bread and butter--it wouldn't do to strand their customers!
FitzLA Posted April 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 28, 2007 The ship stays on Eastern time, and you are suppose to be back 30 minute prior to departure.
RNay Posted April 28, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 28, 2007 I have not been on the Freedom yet, but I got some Compasses from Sept. '06 and it states "Please note: Grand Cayman is one hour behind ship's time. Please remain on ship time." That gives you a general guideline anyway. I don't know about daylight savings and all that, but at least you know to stay on the ship's time. Double check with Native Way.
