Bottom of a steep hill?

Can anyone tell me if a visit to Sapphire Beach requires a trek up/down a steep hill?

 

Anyone have any experience taking a cab to/from this beach?

Yes, the beach at Saphire is at the bottom of a steep hill. Taxis bring you to the beach are at the bottom and will pick you up there to return you to the ship. Of course they cost more than the local transportation which leaves you on the main road where you have to walk up and down.
