Smartcookie Posted May 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2007 Hi all, I know that on the CB the balconies on the caribe deck were considerably larger than on other decks, can anyone tell me what deck, if any on the Grand has the largest balconies? Thanks!
LuvTheGoodLife Posted May 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 10, 2007 For balconies on the 'side' of the boat (i.e. does not apply to aft facing balconies), the Caribe deck has the largest balconies, except for the balconies attached to the full suites. The Caribe deck balconies are sized 9 ft. wide x 9 ft. deep. The Lido, Aloha, Baja deck balconies are sized 9 ft. wide x 5 ft. deep. The Dolphin deck balconies (mini-suite cabins) are sized 9 ft. wide x 7 ft. deep. I am not sure of the size of the balconies for the Emerald deck mini-suite balconies or the balcony cabins located under the Promenade deck overhang more forward on Emerald. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!
Smartcookie Posted May 10, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted May 10, 2007 Thank you! We definitely need the "side" balconies as we will be getting an inside across the hall for the kids. So it's the caribe deck for the Grand as well as the CB then? Is the caribe deck the largest balconies on ALL Grand class ships?
LuvTheGoodLife Posted May 10, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 10, 2007 Yes - Caribe has the largest balconies for the Grand Class ships including Grand, Golden, Star, Diamond, Sapphire, Caribbean, Crown and the new Emerald. Caribe balcony size is due to the 'tiered' wedding cake shape of the ship sides. The extra 4 ft. of balcony width on Caribe allow the greater interior space of the Dolphin deck mini-suite cabins below. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise!
