sailingthecarib Posted May 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2007  After reading the lengthy debates on the smoking policy, I was surprised to see the comment that the veranda are closed. Does anyone have specific information on that? Our verandas have always been "enclosed" on the sides(forward and aft) with dividers. I wonder if there have been alterations to that setup. dabear Posted May 12, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2007 verandas are not closed but smoking is not allowed on them after the fire on a ship recently
1cruiselvr Posted May 13, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2007 No totally enclosed unless you have a SV balcony as they have a top enclosure with a hole cut out for viewing. With that said, the 1/2s balconies are very small and any smoking on them will be immediately detected by anyone on either side on their balcony. I hope rule breakers are reported immediately as we are not children. We know the rules, we should either obey or cruise on another ship with a more liberal smoking policy. Happy Sailing!
