Ta421sBtrHalf Posted August 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2004 I looked at my Entertainment book and way down on the terms and conditions it says that travel agents must request fare code CPEP and their commission is based on the discounted fare. I never tried to use any of these coupons, but my FIL says that they give you a discount off of the "list price" and usually you get a better discount without it, if the travel agent is good. aqusis Posted August 11, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2004 I agree with Ta421sBtrHalf...those coupons are good on nondiscounted fares. If you shop around you can find much better deals w/out the coupon. You could probably use it booking directly with the cruiseline and paying full price. Adamyshoe Posted August 11, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2004 My wife and I once booked a cruise through our local AAA travel agency. We got a good discounted rate, but we figured, what the heck, ask about the Entertainment book coupon. I believe it stated it was good for $50 off (this was only for a 3 day cruise). Our agent checked it out, and it turned out to be good for $25 off, even with our already discounted rate. Something about maximal approved combination of discounts that only TAs and cruiselines can understand. But hey, $25 is 4 or 5 more cocktails or souvenirs, right?
