tishie58 Posted May 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2007 Has anyone stayed at this hotel? What is nearby to eat or go out? We would like to stay there the day before...anyone know how far it is to the Bayside Market and can we walk to that?
Ang in Miami Posted May 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2007 Unfortunately, Bayside is not within walking distance (or eyesight) of anything in Coconut Grove. What you do have in "The Grove" is Coco Walk where there are a lot of great shops and restaurants there as well as throughout The Grove. Coconut Grove is south of the downtown and port area of Miami, and while not a long way south, it's not walking distance. You could take a taxi to Bayside if you want to be there. The hotel is located in a great area within walking distance to an area full of shops, restaurants, bars and more. Across from your hotel is the Bay with beautiful views and a nice park you can walk too. Also across from your hotel is a local hidden place called Scotty's on the water for great drinks and food. Down the street is Monty's Bar also on the water with a great happy hour and food. In the Grove you can walk over to Cocowalk where there are plenty of shops, a Hooters, Cafe Tu Tu Tango (My personal favorite) as well as Fat Tuesdays for some good frozen drinks and a fun atmosphere. If you are interested in more nightlife you can always go to Baracuda's, Oxygen Night club and Flavour as well as Green Street Cafe. Bayside is located about 15 minutes away and is always a cab ride away.
