Photo Tane Posted May 24, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 24, 2007 We are looking for topfree (European tanning) cruising to the Caribbean. Which ports. Which Cruise lines. Which ships etc. Anyone with and Ideas would be appreciated.
buddyjo143 Posted May 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2007 I believe the French side of Saint Maarten is top/clothing optional on some beaches. We have a clothing optional campground in New Hampshire if you want to vacation here some time. ;)

trish1c Posted May 25, 2007 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Carnival is the only mass market line I know of w/ a topless deck.
VegasPinkGirl Posted May 25, 2007 #6 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Orient Beach in St. Maartin has a clothing optional beach. RCCI has a topless deck on their ships. Just got back from a cruise on RCCL Enchantment of the Seas. It did NOT have a topless deck.
la_croisiere_s'amuse Posted May 26, 2007 #7 Share Posted May 26, 2007 RCCI has a topless deck on their ships. Maybe you're thinking of Carnival? Although now that I think of it, I believe I read that they have eliminated them. At any rate, Royal Caribbean does not have topless decks. :)

Europe, yes, Caribbean, no.....unless it's a european cruiseline! :D
Photo Tane Posted May 27, 2007 Author #9 Share Posted May 27, 2007 Since my first post friends have said that the Constellation or Millenium had Topfree deck up top. Is this still true. I guess we will not let this option ruin our cruise. We were just hoping for some freedom. Thnks

We were on the Millenium last year and they had a top free deck available. We were going transatlantic to europe. I would check with Celebrity to be sure, but I am fairly sure they have done away with this in the Caribbean where they service mainly U.S. passengers. pcur Posted May 28, 2007 #11 Share Posted May 28, 2007 Just got off the Millie cruise in Europe a few weeks ago, and I heard nothing about a top-free deck. Yes, you'd better call Celebrity and ask. Many of the beaches in Europe, especially in France, have top-free beaches. A cruise with multiple Western European ports would probably give you what you want. Also, check the European cruiselines that sail from ports in Europe. Costa, for instance, is great! Call them, too, and ask about top-free decks. Janutz Posted May 29, 2007 #12 Share Posted May 29, 2007 Bonaire, Soroban Resort on Lac Bay. Although our fellow cruisers said their were some beautiful topless sunbathers at WindSurf Place (I saw their pictures and even I have to agree) which is open to the public. TravlGrl Posted May 29, 2007 #13 Share Posted May 29, 2007 RCCI has a topless deck on their ships. Which ships? Jewel of the Seas didn't have one when we sailed her. My top would sooo be off if I knew of one.
Travel Angel Posted May 29, 2007 #14 Share Posted May 29, 2007 Carnival, RCI, Princess, HAL.... none will have a "Tops Optional Deck" on their ships.... Carnival did, but just have recently stopped offering this option on their ships.
CruiseNut7 Posted May 29, 2007 #15 Share Posted May 29, 2007 We returned last month after a stop in St. Maarten - Orient Beach on the French side is clothes optional. So, you can be top-free, bottom-free or both! When we disembark, we just get a taxi there - no excursion, but we do like to go early. It was our second visit to Orient Beach - we rent an umbrella and chairs for the day and enjoy the jet skis, parasailing, swimming, tiki bars and restaurants there - and, of course, the people watching! :p It is a beautiful location. Have fun! :)
