Restaurant Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant, preferably on the beach? Has anyone had lunch at the Crane Hotel or Sandy Lane. Thanks!

I've never eaten at either of the places you mention, but my brother and SIL went to lunch at Sandy Lane a few years ago. For two hamburgers and two beers, the bill was $52!

Our premiere restuarants, The Cliff, David’s Place, Pisces and Carambola don’t do lunch.

 

If you want to dine on the West Coast, try The Lone Star Garage Restaurant in St. James. Popular with celebrities and one can eat outside on the beach.

 

I suggest going to The Crane for a truly outstanding experience, not only for the palate, but also for the senses. I can’t speak highly enough of this spot.

Thanks for your recommendation on The Crane and the link. I checked out their website and have definitely decided to have lunch there. You mentioned that the restaurant is "upscale casual" and after viewing the panorama picture of the restaurant I'm wondering if shorts are appropriate for lunch? It does look as though there is seating outside which may be more casual?

Shorts are fine for lunch, in or out. Not for dinner, though. But they do have a no-jacket policy for dinner, so you can see they are not stuffy by any means.
