Irina555 Posted June 7, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2007 I booked 3 cabins on Legend in Nov with online TA. After a short while my booking showed as being cancelled on Carnival site. Called TA and found out that we were "moved to a group", and got new booking #. Now my booking is showing "on hold" and I can't reach my TA. Called Carnival, they pulled my booking and said - "oh, you're in a group" and transferred me somewhere else, where I am currently on hold for over 20 minutes. What is this "group" and do I want to be in one? Any idea?

Well, we have no way of knowing what group they booked you in ;) She probably did it to help lower the price and get group amenities... a lot of TA's do this... My TA would let me know about this though... if you want to know, call your TA... they know way more than we would know.
lvtotrvl1 Posted June 7, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2007 Many large online agnecies will have "groups" on cruises...You may receive an amenity such as champagne etc in your room upon arrival....otherwise you wouldn't know the difference. This is how online agencies can get lower prices on cruises . When you agent gets back, she can give you your reservation number within the group...won't be a problem at all.
