Rahi Posted June 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Which side would be best for this ship while in port.. thanks
ragwing Posted June 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2007 hmmmm. In our last experience, the port side would have given you the "land" view in St. Georges while the starboard would have been the Front Street view in Hamilton. Regardless of side, the scenery is great!
iheartbda Posted June 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Can't go wrong on either side, after all, you're in Bermuda. That being said, we go for starboard side, love to watch the goings on on Front Street which are a bit more interesting than St. George. There we go for the scenery. Rahi Posted June 18, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Thanks:) I switched to Starboard!
roomba Posted June 19, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2007 We were on the starboard side too and liked being on Front St. in Hamilton. It's not as quiet, but it's fun to watch the tiny cars and mini trucks go by!
fog1 Posted June 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Starboard side is great for Hamilton. We had first class seats for Bermuda's Heritage Day parade and Wednesday's street fair.
Dolphins Posted June 19, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 19, 2007 We always take the port side in Bermuda, especially with a balcony cabin. We love the view of St. George and yet the town is set back far enough from the dock than you don't hear any traffic noise at night. In Hamilton, we prefer the scenic view of the harbor facing south giving us sun on our balcony all day. In addition, the starboard side facing Hamilton is very close to the traffic on Front Street and can get noisy when people exit the bars late at night and you have your balcony door open, which we always do. Just one man's opinion.

Dolphins Posted June 19, 2007 #10 Share Posted June 19, 2007 Is the port side odd or even numbers? Thanks! Port side are even numbered cabins, starboard side odd numbered cabins. Easy way to remember- PORT has 4 letters, EVEN has 4 letters, LEFT has 4 letters.
