my first price drop

Woohoo, I got my first price drop today. :) I told DH and all he said was "That's nice."

 

I'm so excited about it that I had to tell someone that would appreciate this event in my cruise booking. :D

 

Thanks CC for letting me know that this could be done. It only took four cruises before I learned. :o

Congratulations! I know we were very excited when we called for our first price drop. Come to think of it - we get excited every time the price drops for a cruise we have booked!!

Keep checking it could happen again! I saved a lot on our family cruise last year, we had booked three balcony cabins $999/ person one day I saw a price drop to $750/ person I was on the phone so fast. We actually paid for all of the gratuaties and had gifts sent to the kids rooms with the discounts. It does pay to keep checking even after you've paid in full.

Congrats! MY DH would be over all over it in a flash! All I ever see is increased rates. Of all our cruises, not once got any kind of reduction.

Also keep an eye sometimes higher catagories come in cheaper too. A friend had her Hawaii OV changed to a D1 balcony at a lower rate than her OV resulting in a $900 refund. They were thrilled to say the least!

Yeah... I've got one of those also... it became more exciting to him when I gave him a nicer chunk of change to play with in the casino and explained that it was courtesy of the price drop;)
