Itsacruisething Posted July 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2007 Outside of cruise ship excursions, any advise on how to get from port to city and who can you recommend for city tours, etc? Thanks, Dean
Rare Keith1010 Posted July 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2007 New York City is easy to do on your own. In terms of transport, just take a taxi cab. I would make a list of places you want to see and then buy a map and you will be set. Obviously, there is a limit to what you can see in one day so I would like a few places and also give yourself time just to walk around a bit. trish1c Posted July 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2007 Depends on what port. If it's the one in Manhatten -- walk outside. You are there. If it's Red Hook Brooklyn, take teh subway to your destination of choice if you are brave. Take a taxi other wise. If it's Port Liberty in NJ, that gets a bit more complicated.
