Can you please tell me if the Oistins fish fry is done every night?

Last time we did it on a thursday night and I know Friday night

is very popular. We will just like to know our options as I am part of

a Trini posse arriving on July 28 for 2 weeks of Kadooment fun.

Thanks.

Goneclear...I am not sunnie or barbados but I can answer your question.

Oistins is open EVERY night. Weekends are usually more actioned packed but its Crop Over now,. so EVERY NIGHT for the time frame you will be here should be jumping:D .

Happy Crop Over...

Generally, it’s biggest on Friday and Saturday nights, but it is now being run on many days of the week. Your chances are very good that at least a few stalls will be open and a rum shop or two (what more could a person want, yes?)

I’m told it is becoming second only to Harrison’s Caves in popularity (I take that with a grain of salt, however).

There is another fish fry being held on the weekends up in St. Lucy at Half Moon Fort. I haven’t tried it yet, but my neighbours said they liked it better than Oistins.

Enjoy Kadoonment, my friend!

at Half Moon Fort.

Yes, I agree...Half Moon Fort is much more pleasant

(Oistins can be very crowded, and awfully 'local')

but the Half Moon Fort situation is a bit more than a fish-fry out in the open,

it's more of a restaurant setting, with seating and tables

and they bring your dinner to you.

Wife is now reminding me that there's also an Oistins-type (open-air) fish fry thing

that happens at Half Moon Fort, but whatever... the situation is nicer at Half Moon Fort,

even though it's a ways up the West Coast,

nearing the northern tip of the island.

It's pleasant. Try it.

If you don't like loud crowds, Oistins is not the place for you.

Half Moon Fort is less crowded, less noisy.

Now you know - Suit yourself.

We are going for the crowds and festivities, It's crop over going into Kadooment. Carnival like celebrations and lot's of fun but thanks for the suggestion. We have ate at Oistins many times and love the sidewalk thing with the rum shops.
