Donna6369 Posted July 19, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Just wondering if anyone knows in concierge class on the infinity if they provide binoculars in your room for you to use? Still hoping for pics of room 6143 too.. Anyone? I guess in a few weeks I will see it in person :)
phoenix_dream Posted July 19, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 19, 2007 No, they do not provide binoculars - just umbrellas
EMS8 Posted July 19, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2007 We were just on Infinity for the July 1st sailing and were in concierge class stateroom 8172. There is a small pair of binoculars for your use, although they are not very powerfull. So you might consider bringing your own.
Green Apple Posted July 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Good morning! Just got back from Infinity - Alaska return on 15/7. Yes, we did have binoculars in the concierge class stateroom. Anita
Safeair1 Posted July 19, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 19, 2007 No, they do not provide binoculars - just umbrellas Yes, they do provide binoculars, but as someone else said not very powerful. Every CC cabin (and suite) I've had on any Celebrity ship does the same thing plus they also provide a much larger umbrella than in the other cabins. mii Posted July 19, 2007 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2007 I agree with the rest of the posters in that they do provide an umbrella and binoculars in CC cabin but they are not powerful at all. You might want to bring your own. Marilyn
Donna6369 Posted July 19, 2007 Author #7 Share Posted July 19, 2007 Thank you all so much for taking the time to reply. I think the ones in the cabin will be OK for me.
Rare DrKoob Posted July 21, 2007 #8 Share Posted July 21, 2007 The ones in the cabin are horrid. Not only are they not very powerful, they have a very short focal length so staying focused on anything for more than a second is next to impossible. If you want to see anything with binoculars, bring your own.
FireCapt9 Posted July 22, 2007 #9 Share Posted July 22, 2007 On a recent trip to Alaska on the Infinity, it was my job to pack the binoculars... which I forgot to do. I took a lot of heat for this from my girlfriend. We actually bought some binoculars at a kiosk inside the cruise terminal in Vancouver, just steps away from the gate. They were reasonably priced and VERY powerful. I didn't want to risk it with the unknown binoculars in the CC cabin. Great choice. There were some in the cabin, however, they were small and hard to use. By all means... do yourself a favor and bring quality binoculars. The views were amazing.
