1st time carnival - questions.....

Hi. I have never sailed on Carnival, but the affordable price intrigues me. We are sort of on a strict budget this year, but I don't want to not vacation at all. I was thinking about booking the 4 or 5 day Elation cruise out of SD to Cabo (we live in Orange County, CA) We have always had a balcony or mini-suite on other lines, but I was thinking of doing an OV Guar. to save $$.

Questions:

Are the majority of the windows picture or porthole?

Is an OV cramped for 2 adults and a large 12 yr. old?

How is this ship, itinerary?

We are thinking of going in April (I teach in a yr. round school and get the whole month off) - is it better to book now or wait till after Xmas?

THANKS!!!!

...majority of the windows are just that

...room should be big eough

...ship fine

...whichever you prefer. if the price drops after you book, you often [not always] get a fare reduction/onboard credit [obc]

You should have plenty of room for three of you. Last Nov. DH and I and my 12 yr old DD shared an inside room on the Fantasy (sister ship to the Elation) and we had plenty of room even with the rollaway bed. You should find Carnival cabins larger than the other ships you have been on.

The majority of the OV rooms would have the larger windows.
