SabrinaNP Posted August 5, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Has anyone taken the 15 day 14 night Arctic Cruisetour with Princess? Was it worth the time & money to travel to Prudhoe Bay & Coldfoot? Thanks.
LTCOP Posted August 5, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 5, 2007 We did the Arctic cruisetour 3 years ago. Yes, it is worth it. But I have to warn you the accomodations at Prudhoe and Coldfoot are not what you might expect, but I guess that is part of the experience. At Prudhoe, there is only one place and it might best be described as trailers put together to make dorm rooms. My husband and I still laugh about it. But putting your feet in the Arctic Ocean, staying up and watching the sun NOT set, having a picnic lunch on the tundra, etc. are unforgettable. It's such a unique experience. And you don't have to worry about crowds:-)
TravelnAl Posted August 5, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 5, 2007 Did this cruisetour in 2005. The trip of a lifetime. Accomodations in Prudhoe were elegant compared to Coldfoot. Touching the Arctic Ocean was spectacular, but cold. I would recommend doing the land portion first because it is quite tiring. Scenery north of Fairbanks was spectacular. Enjoy it!
