nomie Posted August 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2004 I have looked everywhere but can not find an answer to this question. I am looking for a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale that is right on the beach. We will be staying there for 3 nights pre-cruise. Don't want to spend more then $70.00 a night. Is there anyway to get such a thing on priceline or hotwire. They all say beach area and hotels are within walking distance. The Sheriden Yankee Clipper looks perfect but the Holiday Inn does not. Really want to be right on the beach. Stayed at Marriot Harbor last year and was very nice but restaurants were very pricy and was too far to get to anything. Or maybre there is a nice 2 star motel that is clean and right on the beach. geejay Posted August 23, 2004 #4 Share Posted August 23, 2004 Last year we stayed at the (hmm, now I forgot the name!) Oceanfront in Fort Lauderdale. Great location. This year we are staying at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper, also on the beach. Both are 3 star. We bid $51 or $52 on Priceline for them. (can't remember the exact amount either. am I getting old or is it the late hour?) :D
nomie Posted August 23, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted August 23, 2004 Thanks for the info. Yes I should have said Ft. Lauderdale Hotels. Will try again if this post dosn't work. Must be some way to bid a place right on the beach. With my luck I would probably win a bid that is a long walk. I can walk but DB would not be happy.
