mydogmichele Posted May 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 19, 2004 I'll be on the 8/8 NCL Star sailing which arrives in Juneau on Tuesday, August 10th at 2:00pm. I just called Orca Enterprises and I have a choice of their 3:00 trip (which ends at 6:30) and their 5:30 trip (which ends at 9:00). Ship leaves at 10:00! Tough decision! Their concern with the 3:00 is that if the Star has to wait for another ship to leave first, we may pull in too late. Of course, my concern with the 5:30 is the fear of missing the ship! (Though they assure me that they will get me back in time). I'm leaning towards booking the 3:00 one, as it would be less stressful for me, but I really don't want to have to stress out at all while on vacation (I do enough of that in my everyday life!) Any input/experience you can give me to help me make that decision would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pat
CruiseIsGood Posted May 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 19, 2004 They've been doing the tours for so long that you can rest assured if they say they'll get you back in time, they will. Their concern about late docking is very valid. We docked later than expected a couple of times the last 2 years. Not by too much, but you never know. In the reverse, the ships aren't forced to leave early. Denise
Budget Queen Posted May 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 20, 2004 I would book the later tour- they will have you back on time. In fact they will drive you right to the ship. Verify this with them.
