Starbright Posted August 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I know there's a jogging track on the Navigator, but is there somewhere you can walk on the outside decks? Is it OK to walk on the jogging track?
pcur Posted August 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2007 Yes, you can walk on jogging track: it's for both. Just keep to the right so they can pass you. If you have second seating, the best time is between 5 - 6 PM, right after the ship leaves port. You not only get to walk when it's not crowded, but you get to watch the sun set, too! nanfromatlanta Posted August 18, 2007 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I know there's a jogging track on the Navigator, but is there somewhere you can walk on the outside decks? Is it OK to walk on the jogging track? You can also walk outside on the Promenade Deck which, I believe, is Deck 5.
Janice M Posted August 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I actually prefer the Promenade deck. I am sure it is deck 5. Sometimes the crew is doing maintainence and parts may closed off. Otherwise it goes around the whole ship. Jan
cb at sea Posted August 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2007 Shoot--just walking up and down the hallways is great exercise! Lots of walking on a ship!
Starbright Posted August 18, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted August 18, 2007 Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure whether there was a Promenade Deck. I couldn't see it marked on the deck plans. I love walking around there early in the morning before breakfast. I'm an early riser rather than a night owl!
cruisin4kicks Posted August 18, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I'm pretty sure the Promenade Deck on the Navigator (in fact on all Voyager class ships) is on Deck 4 and then near the front of both the starboard and port sides there are stairs that take you to Deck 5 where the helicopter port is. CLQ Posted August 18, 2007 #8 Share Posted August 18, 2007 We're morning walkers. On Navigator, we did great up on the track. Once breakfast starts to get over with, the lounge chairs start coming out and exercise walking gets tough. If you're strolling for leisure, the Promenade deck might be better. One issue we had trouble with up top were leisure strollers who would literally stop on a marked exercise track and stand in the middle so that passing them was almost impossible. The early evening idea sounds like a good one too.
Marley-Bop Posted August 18, 2007 #9 Share Posted August 18, 2007 Hi Starbright Dont forget to go out of door at the top end of the solarium (deck 11), this will take you out onto the front of the ship where you will find the peek a boo bridge. One of the most amazing views from the ship and DH and I sat for ages just watching what was going on on the bridge :) . Have a great time on the Navigator.
