Laundry on Liberty?

My wife and I are doing back to back cruises on the Carnival Liberty 9/15 and 9/23. Because of the 14 day trip, I was curious about laundry and how much it costs. Are there coin operated washing machines and driers on the Liberty? What does the room laundry service cost? Thanks.

Yes, coin operated, which you can get from the Pursers desk.

 

Self-Service Launderettes

Each ship has at least 2 self-service launderettes located on the stateroom decks.

There are two or three washers and dryers, and one iron and ironing board in each launderette. The cost is $2.00 per washer load and $2.00 per dryer load. Vending machines dispense small boxes of detergent and water softener at $1.00 per box.

Beware....the washing machines are MUCH smaller than typical home washing machine. I would say about half the size. That will probably double the amount of loads you will have.

We washed a couple of loads on our B2B on the Liberty in February. We had planned to do them on the Sunday in FLL between cruises, but our steward said that they would be closed that day. We never checked to see if he was right, we just did them on Friday afternoon at sea.

2-3 times during your trip, your steward will hand you a medium-sized grocery bag. Fill itr up with all the clotrhes you can, ship will launder contents for $15. Latter two options returned following afternoon/evening
