i bought earlier this year at one of the skyride to paradise shops - lasted about two months -- could have been more my fault for not being able to spot a good quality bag but nevertheless - be careful.

Several vendors will have them in the "open air market" near town. We always take a cab into town and stop there first. Mine have lasted quite a long time as well.

Just as you get to town you'll see an area where outdoor vendors are selling all sorts of stuff under tent-like structures. Make sure you're a tough negotiator and you'll get a good deal.

The ones I saw in the flea market area were obvious fakes.

Look them over carefully.

I saw some faux Coach bags that had C's and G's instead of all C's!

If buying Kate Spade, know that the label is glued on, not sewn, in most fakes.

The LV bags are easy to spot as fakes as well. The LV is sometimes in the seams, which they never would be with a real bag. You can tell also by the straps and zippers.

With a thread that starts with knock off handbags, I rather doubt people will be looking to see if they are fake. Of course they are fake. The selling of those bags have caused quite a stir. The stores that sell the real bags are now very few. The Feds do a raid every now and then, clean house and the bags disappear for a little while and show back up sooner or later. You may never find them one day.

Bags that are sold on the street or at flea markets are fake. There isn't even a question. But, some people don't care and are just as happy with a fake. Some of the fakes really do look like the real thing.
