Garment Bags

We use a rolling garment bag and check it through with the other luggage. It's worked so far, although it did get left behind by the airline once. Got there the next day---which makes another case for arriving a day early.

I like to bring hanging shirts, blazers and tuxedo on cruise so my main luggage is a rolling garment bag (wardrobe) made by Briggs & Riley. It does a great job of keeping my clothes uncreased. Since it is a big piece I check it at the first opportunity.

i think that depends on the toughness of the fabric from which the garment bag is made. I have one very lightweight one with thin fabric that i always carry with me for fear the fabric would be poked and ripped. On the other hand i have one on rollers that is sturdy as a suitcase and i always check that one.:)
