dixie54 Posted September 11, 2007 #1 Share Posted September 11, 2007 I have heard it was interesting. I would like to watch it and buy it if it is reasonable. How long is it? Thanks for any info!
crusinmama06 Posted September 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Which one is that? Do you mean from the shows that air on Discovery or Travel channel?
dixie54 Posted September 11, 2007 Author #3 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Well, I am not sure. I have read there was one of the building of it etc. It will be our first time on the Voyager and I would like to see anything about the ship! crusinmama06 Posted September 11, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 11, 2007 I found one called Building the MegaShips http://www.multiimage.com/videosales.html Building the Megaships: From Voyager Class to Freedom Class:the story of how they build the world's largest cruise ships (3-Parts 150 Minutes, Available on DVD) I'll check Discovery Channel and see if there is one there too
Monkeythyme Posted September 11, 2007 #5 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Well, I am not sure. I have read there was one of the building of it etc. It will be our first time on the Voyager and I would like to see anything about the ship! The Travel Channel is running "Great Cruises: Adventure of the Seas" on September 15th at 7:00PM [probably EDT, though not specified]. The Adventure is one of the Voyager class of ships, all of which are basically the same.
crusinmama06 Posted September 11, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 11, 2007 You can find everything on ebay. luv2cruz64 Posted September 11, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Building the Megaships: From Voyager Class to Freedom Class:the story of how they build the world's largest cruise ships (3-Parts 150 Minutes, Available on DVD) Is this the same one that they show on the ships channel onboard? It was quite interesting.
jmf123 Posted September 11, 2007 #9 Share Posted September 11, 2007 I have this 3 volume VHS set...very interesting! I sailed on the innovative 'Voyager' in 2000. Each volume is 150 minutes long: 'Concept and Design', Building and Testing', and 'A City at Sea'. The $5 ebay one seems like a bargain, I recall it selling for a lot more than that. wildbill32 Posted September 11, 2007 #10 Share Posted September 11, 2007 I bought the same 3 part set on DVD in one of the on board gift shops on a RCI cruise I took a couple of years ago. Don't know if they are still selling it onboard, but if anyone is interested, I can check when I am on the Majesty in 2 weeks. Email me at Willdbill (at) msn.com This is a very program for anyone who is crazy about all thing cruising (like me!):)
dixie54 Posted September 11, 2007 Author #11 Share Posted September 11, 2007 Thanks for the info. I am watching them on ebay. How do you know when the cruise shows will be on the Travel channel, short of scanning the on tv schedule daily? We have cable and don't get a tv guide. I would love to signup for an alert. I hope to catch one on the Voyager. I plan to watch the one of the Freedom Class this Thursday. thanks
