travel-to-go Posted September 17, 2007 #76 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Yes, I am flying... but I have some VERY nice seats so I'm actually looking forward to that part... check them out Okay, Dare I ask what it would cost one way to England from ANYWHERE in North America? Would I have to fly to Toronto first? Would you adopt me? Oh, yes, I realize I am no doubt older than you. but we could work that out! I want, I want! And how do two people talk to each other that way? Via the screens? By telephone? and it looks like when they fold into a bed it would block the aisles! <sigh> Why wasn't I born rich instead of beautiful and brilliant? Karie, Okay, I'll settle for one of the three! Casshew Posted September 17, 2007 #78 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Well, actually I use my points so they are free! but, if I had to pay (god forbid) they would cost about $4200.00 one way. The set us is very strange if you are travelling with someone, there is a high privacy screen so you couldn't speak to each other LOL The seats angle away from one another, it's weird looking - but I can't wait to give it a go! I believe you can phone the other seats for a chat. My daughter can't wait to try them out too, they have heat and massage! Oh, and my husband is actually open to me adopting a woman.

happyscot Posted September 17, 2007 #83 Share Posted September 17, 2007 Besides, don't you think it's about time we had an official CC Song? And what better time to introduce it than on my birthday??? We can rehearse the night before.. M-L Woke up at 3.30 with a song in my head. Spent two and a half hours trying to get rid of it, without success. I'll write it down, that'll work. It's to the tune of that Amurican patriotic ditty which starts "America, America" and then goes on about freedom and democracy and all that other stuff they paint on the side of bombers. It'll only work if you sing it to yourself with a full orchestra and over-the-top choral harmonies. A humble offering then, gentle Cunard folk: Cunardians, Cunardians Sailors of the Queens. We cross the oceans mighty On the best ships ever seen. We all like gin and tonic We all have silly laughs. (insert chorus of silly laughs) We all wear dinner jackets Even in the bath. Our leader is Sir Martin He is a talking cat. He likes to meet the Captain He likes to tell him that: We're Cunardians, Cunardians We all know lots about wine. (big finish now) Cunardians, Cunardians Cruisers of the Line. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Cruachan Posted September 17, 2007 #84 Share Posted September 17, 2007 It seems that Host Andy is a difficult guy to track down. Perhaps he could be tempted out of hiding by a Haiku or two (wow - that rhymes. Look at that HS, I'm a poet too). Here's my contribution: Andy is our host We cannot lure him to us We drift, rudderless Jimmy

pnhmrk Posted September 17, 2007 #89 Share Posted September 17, 2007 It seems that Host Andy is a difficult guy to track down. You would hope that by the time we reach post 100 in a thread to welcome hip he'll have put in an appearance. Either that or it's an Aberdeen Angus on top of Ben Nevis. This is turning into another thread where I keep bursting out in laughter for no apparent reason (if you're not reading CC as well). I've just done that here:)

dak Posted September 17, 2007 #91 Share Posted September 17, 2007 An elusive moderator, Host Andy Who, for all we know could be Gandhi, Was welcomed aboard, But we were ignored While he took the huff with his candy We tried to bring him dialogue Talking of pets both cat and dog He still would have none of it And we cared quite a bit Though Andy was deaf as a log Threads were banished to boards abroad By the police who substitute God But we carried on writing With humour quite biting And Andy did not give a nod They threaten to make us be mute With our subversive humour, so cute Perceiving a danger With no Lone Ranger Or Tonto to go in pursuit But fear not, the answer is clear Host Andy is does not hold us dear The board carries on With Host Doug gone And the loonies in charge with no fear David
