Nachi Cocom..on your own recently?

I have a question about snorkeling - how is the Palancar Reef they take you to from Nachi? I know farther up the coast (Playa Uvas) there wasn't much to look at (because of Hurricane Wilma,) but was curious if Palancar is a decent place to snorkel.

I guess that is all in the eye of the beholder! I don't have much to compare it to, only snorkeled in Hanama Bay and Coz and I didn't see Palancar before Wilma. It's majestic and full of fish so it works for me :)

My favorite snorkeling places so far have been Virgin Gorda and Grand Cayman. How was the reef itself? Were there colorful sea fans and brain coral for example? I think I enjoy looking at the coral and stuff more than seeing fish! Am I weird? :)
