Free Upgrades??? QM2

We will be on the QM2 shortly (first time with Cunard). When making our reservation, we went to an online company and choice an inside stateroom. We just received our tickets and they put us on the 6th deck toward the rear of the ship. Is it possible to have this room changed or do they make any changes during checkin? Any assistance would be appreciated.

What grade of cabin do you now have? Is it a higher grade than you booked?

 

Cunard do upgrade people without speaking to them first. Normally this is a good thing - especially on Queen Mary 2 where most cabins of a grade are equivalent.

 

It is possible to have a booking marked as "do not upgrade" as well.

 

You cannot guarantee any change on check in - they may upgrade you, but there is no choice about this.

 

Roughly where is the new cabin compared to the old?
