Comfort Inn vs AmeriSuites

Last year we stayed at AmeriSuites for $79, and thought it was a good deal. The rooms were worn, but clean, the breakfast was fine and transportation worked out for us. This year the price I can get is $148, I know the hotel has switched to a Hyatt and the rooms are suppose to be nice. I have the Comfort Inn reserved for $79 a night, I remember seeing the hotel last year so I know the location. I guess I'm just riding the fence here because of the $60 price difference. All we want is a clean room for the 1 night pre cruise. If the Comfort Inn is basically the same as the pre renavation Amerisuite we will be fine. Any feed back? Thanks!

The Amerisuites soon to be HyattPlace is, as you know, in a great location...the comfort inn seems to get OK reviews here....

 

your cab to the port will cost more from the Comfort.....that's a tough one..personaly i would take the HO with all brandy-spankin new stuff....

the photos are exactly what the rooms will look like...i toured one a while back....would have tried it but they were going to be full the day i needed.

As to where - The Amerisuites is the new Hyatt place that everyone is talking to on the form, the Comfort Suites is the on at 188 S Federal Highway.

 

There is no taxi required from Confort Suites to the port, there is a free shuttle.

Try valuetrips.com. We got $79 for 10/10 with the website rate of $140. According to several posts on CC, they are only giving out newly renovated rooms. Pool is supposed to open end of this month.
