Mt Gay & Banks on our own?

I plan on taking a glass bottom boat to see the turtles in the AM

- is it possible to visit one or both of these in the afternoon?

We are there on Sat Dec 8th - do the busses go to these places?

Saturday's an odd day of the week: some business places open, some don't

but then it's also coming up to Christmas, and that changes things commercial a lot!

Banks Breweries is about 1.5 miles out of Bridgetown, so that's not far away.

Whether it'll be doing tours on that Saturday, I don't know.

Mount Gay has an outlet near the Port

(you could probably walk there, or walk back to the ship)

but again...Saturday?

Coming up to Christmas, they could both be very busy! - who knows?

I just checked the cruise shedule for our Port,

and I see six cruisers due in that day(although Freewinds hardly counts)

but still it should be a busy day on the island,

and it's quite possible these places will be open.

At the very least, their products will be on sale everywhere:D

(I just conferred with Ye All-Knowing Wife,

re. the dodgy Saturday situation

and she's in agreement with me,

that it's hard to say! sorry)

There's a fair chance that, as your ship comes in,

aplmac will be standing on the rocks near the Coast Guard Station

camera in hand, taking pics of the cruise-ships coming in

(early morning light is best) ..pics for inclusion on a simple website I run..

http://www.angelfire.com/wizard2/cncisland/bigships/btown.html

-that'll be on the left hand side (port) of your ship

as it enters the Port, i.e. on the sunny side of things.

I'll keep an eye out for you, if you wave!
