LuvMyVette Posted November 1, 2007 #452 Share Posted November 1, 2007 KJ: I was looking at what you wrote and noticed that you are going to have many pre-meet&mingle parties on the 12/2 cruise! I sure wish I was on that cruise! It sounds like a whole bunch of fun people. I met Suzanne years ago, (we live in the same town) and we were actually reintroduced here at CC. We will be on the 11/30/08 cruise and boy seeing the fun you all are having is making it more and more difficult to wait a whole year! Well, continue the fun and hopefully we will be on a cruise together someday too.:) Yes, we having three gatherings prior to the M&M! LMAO Our thread is awesome and we have a great group of crazy people going on this cruise. EX will never be the same and that's a promise with this group! A few from the 12/2 thread is posting here as well and they can agree to this! I can't wait to meet everyone and it's going to feel like a family reunion for me since so many of us has been on the thread for a long time. It's going to be a hoot! Great that you/Suzanne reconnected again.. that's pretty neat! Will have a drink for you on our cruise if that makes you feel better. If you can swing it come along with us!! Hope we can cruise as well! Sea ya!
sea-cruise Posted November 1, 2007 #453 Share Posted November 1, 2007 One woman has been on 40 plus cruises and you'd THINK that she'd know to get to the dining room on time! I may just tell her that before this cruise is over! I know she's cruised RCCL as she is diamond You can polish up a rough diamond, and still end up with a cracked and useless lump of coal. LuvMyVette Posted November 1, 2007 #454 Share Posted November 1, 2007 Suzanne: Glad you are having a nice relaxing day in SJ. I'm with you on that one.. stay on EX! That will my excursion in December. Most likely spend time on the balcony, read, Solarium for a while and relax. I'm so proud of you that you are taking so many pictures! You go girlfriend! If you top my record of 2,039 pictures (in 12 days) then I will bow before you on the December cruise! LOL I hope you don't encounter any bad weather on the way home since you had issues on the way down. Too funny about your tablemates, especially the PIA one. I don't like people arriving a half hour or an hour late for dinner. That's so unfair to the dining room staff. DH/I are always on time and if we plan on not eating in the dining room the following night we always inform the staff. I guess people haven't figured that out yet and to be polite to them as well! I think we had Vilma as well on the September cruise. She's the first head waitress and is awesome. Mom/I saw the same ice show in September and it was wonderful. Mom couldn't believe how they performed so many stunts and they were flawless. Costumes were beautiful as well. I never miss an ice show since they are all excellent! Have a wonderful afternoon/evening! Thanks for keeping us updated on everything. Looking forward to seeing your pictures when you get back. Keep taking those pictures!!!:D Sea ya! I'm a picture nut when we go on vacation. In February, DH/I went to Las Vegas for the first time and spent twelve days out there. We saw the entire strip, Downtown Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon and Hoover Dam. It was one of those once in a lifetime vacations so we had a blast. We don't gamble but there was plenty to see and do. The second place picture prize (LOL) was on EX last year for a B2B celebrating my birthday. Took 1,839 pictures in 14 days! I think you did great taking 650 pictures on your cruise! Congrats!!! Some highlights for Day 8 are Men's sexy legs contest 1pm Win-A-Cruise Bingo 10:15pm Palace Theater Family Karoke 830-930pm Island Frenzy Parade 12:15am Promanade Drink of the day is Yo Colada 8.50 Blackjack and slot tournaments in casino Art Auction 130pm Menu is Chef's Dinner formal night I did ask about how many formal nights on the 12 night and they say only 2 formal nights although I did think it would be 3. I'm not sure how long the internet connection will be working so I will post more later if I can! :p

aqhacruiser Posted November 2, 2007 Author #465 Share Posted November 2, 2007 The dump is just on the other side of the pond- easily seen as you drive out of town Well we never drive out of town as the beach is close to the ship and we prefer to stay in town and I've never seen the pond which is probably why we've never seen a dump. :)

aqhacruiser Posted November 2, 2007 Author #471 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Thank you so much for all of your info on the computer connections. I guess my next thing is to figure out if I have a modem in my laptop and then I'll determine whether or not the cybercabin would be an option. Since we are so fortunate to have an OS this trip, it would be nice to have it in the cabin. Is cybercabin cheaper than using their computers in the internet cafe? YES! If you post a lot or use laptop for email, etc. Cybercabin is much cheaper as it's a flat rate for unlimited access. Most newer laptops are cybercabin ready although I do not know about the Macs. Compaqs, HP's, are fine. :) The drawback on the OS is where you can set up laptop. Cybercabin modem needs phone jack so on side of bed, but to plug your laptop in it has to go across room to vanity to plug it in if battery is low. I do prefer set up in JS better as it's all on vanity so MUCH easier! I've had to post in middle of bed in the OS. There is another phone by couch but no outlet for laptop. There is also a phone in bathroom but that's no help at all! LOL! :D
aqhacruiser Posted November 2, 2007 Author #472 Share Posted November 2, 2007 Yes, Please bring Explorer back in one piece (and on time) :) I am sooo looking forward to our first trip to Bermuda Nov. 4th Oliver Well we'll give it the old college try here but as we hit this miserable storm on the way to the Caribbean we are not really looking forward to riding it back home at this point! But we ARE on our way back to Bayonne! :D If it keeps the track that they predict you'll be riding thru it on the way out of NY so bring the Bonine:)
